CHENNAI: The Tamil Nadu government has announced that a Public Distribution System (PDS) grievance redressal camp will be conducted in Chennai on Saturday.
It is mandatory for government to conduct such taluk-level camps at least once in 30 days.
Accordingly, this camp for the month of March will be held at all 17 zonal-level offices in Chennai on the said date between 10am and 1pm.
Grievances regarding modifications in smart cards like name inclusion, name deletion, change of address and registration of mobile number will be taken up in these camps, said an official release.
Action would be initiated against complaints regarding functioning of fair price shops, quality of essential commodities, commodities sold in the market and deficiencies in services provided, the release added.
Cardholders belonging to the areas of 17 zonal offices in Chennai city are requested to the opportunity.
