CHENNAI: Five days after his estranged wife committed suicide, a 26-year-old man ended his life in Tirunindravur after leaving an emotional post on Facebook.
The deceased, Aravindrajan of Dileepan Nagar, had married Pavithra of Pattabiram in 2016. A year later, the couple separated. Since then, Pavithra lived with her parents in Pattabiram.
Aravindarajan’s efforts to patch up did not break the ice and on July 15, the woman was found hanging in her house.
Police said Aravindarajan was shattered by Pavithra’s death was ended his life on Tuesday morning.
On information, the Tirunindravur police retrieved his body and sent it for postmortem.
Minutes before committing suicide, Aravindarajan had posted a video saying he was allowed to see Pavithra’s body. He blamed his estranged wife’s mother and brother for taking the extreme step.
