Greater Chennai corporation officially has launched a dedicated Whatsapp communication system – +91-9499933644 – to help people avail services, raise queries, grievances and track them in real-time. Meghanath Reddy, deputy commissioner, revenue said, “The reach of Whatsapp is immense and we wanted to leverage that. We are now making all the services available on app and website now available through Whatsapp. For example, services such as monsoon related, Covid, elections, tax payments, based on the need. All services will be available at the click of one number.”
