Chennai: Woman, her brother smash alcoholic husband’s head with LPG cylinder; held – Times Now

Chennai: A woman, who hails from the Mylapore area and her brother have been arrested by the city police in Mylapore for allegedly killing her husband on March 27. As per the report, police said that the woman, who has been identified as Vanitha along with her brother smashed her husband’s head using an LPG cylinder. The deceased has been identified as S Kabali, a resident of PNK Garden who was addicted to alcohol. The 38-year-old man was a house painter by profession.       

Kabali’s aunt and neighbour Muthulakshi found him unconscious at his home. Police has also registered a case of a suspicious death in this matter as the deceased had bled from ears and nose. As per the Government Royapettah Hospital postmortem report, it was confirmed that he had died from a brain injury as he was hit hard with an LPG cylinder.      

According to The Times of India report, Kabali’s wife Vanitha was picked up from a relative’s house for further investigation. Vanitha told police that she and her brother conspired to kill her husband. Police said that she also complained that her husband used to treat her very badly when she refused to give him money to buy alcohol which led to bickering between the two.        

As per the plan, Santhakumar sent her sister to a relative’s house a day before and informed her that he is going to kill him using a cylinder.
