CHENNAI: Southern Railway has increased the number of suburban trains in Chennai from 98 to 419 on Sundays with effect from June 27.
Chennai Central– Arakkonam section will have 149 services, Chennai Central-Gummidipoondi section will have 66 services, Chennai Beach–Chengalpet section will have 138 services, and Chennai Beach–Velachery MRTS section will have 50 services.
There will also be 16 shuttle services of trains between Avadi/Pattabhiram and Pattabiram Military Siding E Depot.
