Man dies as car catches fire in Chennai – Times of India

CHENNAI: A passenger died when a car caught fire on the Koyambedu flyover in Chennai on Monday afternoon. The driver of the car escaped unhurt.
The deceased has been identified as Arjunan, the name used by the passenger to book the cab ride. He was said to be carrying paint and thinner. Arjunan was going from Velapanchavadi to Choolaimedu.
The fire broke out in the rear part of the car. The driver of the car, identified as Sunil Kumar of Mangadu, jumped out of the vehicle in time.
The charred body of Arjunan was retrieved and sent for autopsy. The CMBT police were probing.
