Chennai, Hyderabad Coronavirus News Live Updates: Tamil Nadu recorded 3,367 positive cases of Covid-19 on Wednesday, bringing the state tally to 25,06,848. Among these, Chennai reported 196 positive cases, bringing the city’s total to 5,34,037. The state recorded 64 deaths on Wednesday, putting the state toll at 33,196. 54 of them had succumbed due to comorbidities. A total of 3,704 patients were discharged following treatment, taking the total number of recoveries to 24,39,576.

Amid the blame game between the AIADMK and BJP leaders over the 2021 assembly election results, former deputy chief minister and AIADMK’s coordinator O Panneerselvam has issued a statement, affirming their faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi and stating that their alliance with the saffron party is intact.

“Considering the interests of the Nation and also the welfare of Tamil Nadu, the AIADMK-BJP alliance will continue and there is no second opinion on this,” the statement read.

Tamil Nadu police have booked popular PUBG live-streamer Madhan (29) under the Goondas Act. He was arrested in June for allegedly uploading obscene content on his YouTube channels.
