CHENNAI: A pothole on the Anna Salai in Chennai claimed the life of a software engineer on Monday morning. The youth riding on a two-wheeler lost his balance after hitting the pothole on the road and fell under the wheels of an MTC bus. The accident happed at Little Mount at 8.45am.
The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Younus, who was working in a tech company.
The Guindy traffic investigation wing police rushed to the spot.
CCTV footage from the revealed that Younus lost his balance after his bike hit a pothole. The two-wheeler dashed against the MTC moving on his left side. He fell under the rear wheel. He died on the spot.
The police arrested MTC bus driver Devaraj.
