Chennai Corporation seizes 16 cows roaming in Koyambedu – Times of India

CHENNAI: The Chennai Corporation on Friday impounded 16 cow and fined the owners a sum of Rs 1,550 per head.
Chennai Corporation commissioner Gagandeep Singh Bedi told TOI that the civic body had received multiple complaints on cows loitering in the street. “We have placed the cows in our shed. We will release them after the owners pay the fine,” he said.
The commissioner said the civic body would conduct such drives across the city. Owners are requested to tie the cows.
Four animal-veterinary vehicles were brought to Koyambedu during the drive to impound the cattle.
