CHENNAI: A woman died and her husband escaped with minor injuries when the tyre of the two-wheeler they were riding on burst at Tiruvallur near Chennai on Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as Amlu, 30, of Kadambathur.
Amlu and her husband, Rajini, 32, were on their way to their relative’s house at Egattur when the two-wheeler’s tyre burst. In the impact, the couple fell off the two-wheeler. Amlu sustained severe head injuries.
The couple were rushed to o Tiruvallur Government Hospital where Amlu died.
The Kadambathur police registered a case.
