MADURAI: The Madras high court on Thursday granted bail to a man who was involved in illegal sand mining in Ramanathapuram district.
The court was hearing the bail petition filed by Periyasamy who was arrested by the Mandalamanickam police on February 27.
Justice K Murali Shankar granted bail to the petitioner by directing him to pay Rs 5,000 to the credit of the District Mineral Foundation Trust in Ramanathapuram district.
