Chennai News

Chennai: Global data analytics and tech firm NielsenIQ on Monday opened its new global capability centre in Chennai in RMZ One Paramount, in Porur.
Inaugurated virtually by the Tamil Nadu chief minister MK Stalin, the modern workspace can house over 2,000 employees, and the company said it has already hired over 50% of the talent requirement. NielsenIQ said the Chennai hub is the biggest one for the company worldwide, and it is the first among three being inaugurated in India. The company is also set to open new capability centres in Pune and Vadodara later this week. The work performed out of the India hubs will service NielsenIQ globally, the company said. It did not specify the amount of investment deployed for establishing the India centres. The company already has such centres in Poland, Mexico, and Malaysia. “India is a key market for us at NielsenIQ and the decision to set up capability centres here is a strategic one. Once people only looked to the West for innovation, but it’s now also East,” Mohit Kapoor, GlobaCTO, NielsenIQ, said. “We will be having over 5,000 employees across these three locations in the next 15 months,” he added.
