Covid-19: Tamil Nadu registers 38 new cases, zero deaths – Times of India

Chennai: Fresh cases in Tamil Nadu dropped further to 38 on Monday, when the state discharged 62 patients from the registry. There were 47 new cases on Sunday. There were no deaths and 454 patients continued to take treatment for the viral infection, either at home or in hospitals.
Chennai, which added 20 new cases, was the only district to report cases in two digits. Chengalpet followed with seven new cases and Coimbatore reported three.
Of the 454 active cases, Chennai had 240 followed by 125 patients in Chengalpet and 16 in Coimbatore.
There were 29 patients admitted to the hospitals from across the state for Covid-19 treatment and among these ten of them were in the oxygen beds and four of them — three in Chennai and one in Kanyakumari — were in ICUS.
Meanwhile, 7189 people took the vaccination on Monday. tnn
