The government on Saturday appointed 15 IAS officers, one each for the 15 corporation zones, to monitor the progress of storm water drain work.

CHENNAI: The government on Saturday appointed 15 IAS officers, one each for the 15 corporation zones, to monitor the progress of storm water drain work.
According to an order issued by chief secretary Irai Anbu, the officers must oversee completion of short-term flood-mitigation projects without causing hardship to residents and motorists.
They must visit the zones in coordination with corporation commissioner Gagandeep Singh Bedi to ensure general preparedness, planning, identification of vulnerable areas, mapping and analysis, among other things. The officers are Sravan Kumar Jatavath (Thiruvottiyur), B Ganesan (Manali), Sandeep Nanduri (Madhavaram), TG Vinay (Tondiarpet), K Vijayakarthikeyan (Royapuram), Ranjeet Singh (Tiruvika Nagar), S Suresh Kumar (Ambattur), S Palanisamy (Anna Nagar), K Rajamani (Teynampet), M Vijayalakshmi (Kodambakkam), D Manikandan (Valvarasvakkam), R Nanthagopal (Alandur), Nishant Krishna (Adyar), D Ravichandran (Perungudi), K Veera Raghava Rao (Sholinganallur).
