Chennai: Cops to help 15 juveniles receive driving training – Times of India

CHENNAI: The city police have started a programme to provide driving training to 15 youngsters in conflict with law. The training will be for 30 days at the Institute of Road Transport (IRT) in Taramani and another 50 days in Tiruvallur. This is a part of the Paravai programme coordinated by the state career guidance centre.
A release from the city police said the juveniles will get remunerations and daily travel allowance to attend the training at IRT in Taramani for 30 days. Further, the youngsters will be sent to IRT in Gummidipoondi in Tiruvallur where they will be provided with accommodation, books, uniforms and food.
