Eight persons tested positive for COVID-19 in Tamil Nadu on Friday.
There were three cases in Kancheepuram, two in Erode and one each in Ariyalur, Chennai and Namakkal. Eight persons were discharged after treatment.
There were a total of 53 active cases in the State. Of this, 11 persons were in Chennai.
A total of 4,113 samples were tested in the State.
