Chennai flyovers to be beautified – Times of India

CHENNAI: The Greater Chennai Corporation on Saturday announced that it would beautify a few more flyovers with wall arts, LED lighting, water fountains and greenery.
The corporation will beautify Pantheon Road, Gandhi Mandapam, Sakkarapani Street, Kamakshi Hospital, North Usman Road and G N Chetty Road flyovers.
It will be done under Singara Chennai 2.0 at a cost of Rs 10.26 crore.
The corporation has already beautified Koyambedu flyover, Maduravoyal flyover and bridges in Puzhuthivakkam and Adambakkam at a cost of Rs 1.5 crore.
In the past, the corporation carried out wall and median beautification drives. These drives helped keep the walls and medians free from defacements.
