Coronavirus in Chennai: Tamil Nadu’s Covid-19 cases reach 18 – Times of India

CHENNAI: Three more Covid-19 cases have been reported in Chennai, taking the total number of novel coronavirus-infected patients in Tamil Nadu to 18, health minister C Vijaya Baskar tweeted on Tuesday night.
A 65-year-old man, who returned from New Zealand, has been admitted to a private hospital in the city. A 25-year-old man, who returned from London, is admitted to Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital. However, the travel history of a 55-year-old woman from Saidapet, who has been admitted to Kilpauk Medical College and Hospital, has not been revealed.
The sate recorded six cases on Tuesday. Earlier, the minister announced that a 74-year-old man and a 52-year-old woman, both of whom returned from the US, were admitted to Stanley Medical College and Hospital. A 25-year-old patient, who returned from Switzerland, was admitted to Kilpauk Medical College Hospital.
At present, 17 patients are undergoing treatment for the viral infection in the state. One patient, who was cured, was discharged from hospital last week.
