Chennai News
CHENNAI: Two flyovers on the Grand Southern Trunk (GST) Road in Chennai – one at Pallavaram and other at Vandalur — were inaugurated by chief minister Edappadi K Palaniswami on Thursday.
While the Vandalur flyover is a two-way bridge, the one at Pallavaram is a uni-directional bridge.
Vehicles from Tambaram side heading towards the airport can use the Pallavaram flyover. The length is about 1.5 km.
Vandalur is the gateway to south, and the flyover is a six-lane bridge with a length of 681 metre. It will ease traffic congestion at least for a two km distance in either direction.
