IIT Madras offers 400 free online courses for July-December semester, details here – Times Now

Indian Institute of Technology, IIT Madras is offering free online courses for July to December semester. The Institute has come up with 400 free courses from May 20, 2020. Students who want to apply for these free courses can register online through onlinecourses.nptel.ac.in.

All the 400 free online courses will be conducted on the National Program on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) portal under SWAYAM. All the courses are open to all and the duration of the courses ranges from 8 weeks to 12 weeks.

The last date to register for all 400 courses is till July 27, 2020, and the courses will commence on July 20 onwards. As per the official site, the courses will end on September 1, 2020, and the examinations for the courses would commence on September 27, 2020. The exam would be conducted in two shifts- morning shift from 9 am to 12 noon and afternoon shift from 2 pm to 5 pm.

Students after completion o the course can obtain a certificate by paying a fee of Rs 1000/-. To get the certificate student will have to get 25 percent of the best six assignments out of the total eight assignments, and a score of 75 percent out of 100 in the proctored certification exam.
