AIADMK joint coordinator and leader of Opposition Edappadi K Palaniswami and coordinator and deputy leader of Opposition O Panneerselvam address the media on Thursday.

Tamil Nadu Chennai News Live Updates: Amid a two-day boycott against the Tamil Nadu Assembly proceedings by the AIADMK, AIADMK joint coordinator and leader of Opposition Edappadi K Palaniswami and coordinator and deputy leader of Opposition O Panneerselvam submitted a five-page letter to Governor Banwarilal Purohit today, detailing the failure of the DMK government and elected representatives indulging in corruption.

Alleging that the DMK Government is indulging in “political whiplash” against the opposition especially AIADMK, the two leaders stated that the only agenda of the M K Stalin-led government is “corruption, collection and vendetta”.

The letter was submitted a day after the Opposition AIADMK on Wednesday staged a protest and walked out of the Assembly claiming that the DMK government was reviving the probe to falsely implicate its leaders. “Instead of working on the pressing issues of the people of the state, the DMK is targeting opposition parties by abusing power. We will resist this move. They are trying to revive the case to come up with fake evidence to target us. That process has been happening for the past few days. We will not surrender before such threats, we will fight it out legally,” Panneerselvam said.
