Tasmac employees want TN to follow Kerala system of liquor sale – Times of India

CHENNAI: TASMAC employees affiliated to the AITUC Tamil Nadu TASMAC Employees Union staged a demonstration in Chennai on Friday demanding that the state-owned marketing corporation follow the system adopted at liquor outlets in Kerala for sale of alcohol.
General secretary of the union D Dhanasekaran said that liquor shops in Kerala had two separate sections – one for billing and another purchasing liquor.
“If such a procedure is implemented at liquor shops in Tamil Nadu, complaints over fleecing customers can be largely curbed,” he said.
